This is a high-altitude, sun-baked red, from the dramatic terroir of Salta in the north of Argentina. It is alive with scents of cherry jam, figs, crème de cassis, warm spice, and subtle minerality – all of which are reflected in its vivid purple colour. It is crafted from 100% Malbec, grown on sandy, clayish soils.
Bodega Colomé has been a proponent of high-altitude wine since 1831, making it the longest continually producing winery in Argentina – and perhaps the entire South American continent. In 2001, it was acquired and brought to the world stage by Donald and Ursula Hess and maintains a family-run attitude to this day, spearheaded by Head Winemaker Thibaut Delmotte.
In the mouth, Autentico is full-bodied, ripe, and viscous – there was no oak ageing during its creation, so it has an incredibly pure fruity character. Notes of blackberry and black cherry are supported by warm hints of clove, vanilla, cinnamon, and crystallised ginger. The tannins are round and velvety, balanced out by taut acidity. This is a wine of utmost quality, from one of the most well-versed and well-renowned wineries in Argentina. It will be excellent paired with red meat dishes, mature cheese, or a smokey lentil soup.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
