Chateau Purcari is a Moldovan winery with a long winemaking tradition dating back to the early 1800s, and was reborn in 2003 after being acquired by the Purcari Wineries group, led by Victor Bostan. The Nocturne range from Chateau Purcari brings together a series of excellent value wines made with grapes harvested manually at night to preserve their freshness and the richness of their aromas.
The Viorica grapes are sourced from a 15-20-year-old vineyard located in the Stefan Voda district of Moldova, at 110-185 meters above sea level on sandy-clay chernozem soil. After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel, and the wine ages first in stainless steel and then in the bottle for 6 months. These practices ensure the production of a fresh, expressive, and lively wine.
On the nose, Nocturne Viorica de Purcari exudes aromas of green apple, peach, and citrus, with hints of acacia blossom and basil. On the palate, it is youthful and light, easy to approach, and balanced. It has a lively acidity, good concentration, and a long, persistent finish. Try it with seafood salad, grilled octopus, or salmon and roasted white fish.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
