Champagne Soutiran are based in the Montagne de Reims in the prestigious Grand Cru village of Ambonnay. The house was founded in the 1950s by Gérard Soutiran and today it remains a family business with Gérard’s daughter, Valérie, and her husband responsible for the running of the property. The family prides itself on its slow, thoughtful approach to making Champagne which involves lengthy periods of maturation of five to eight years in their cellars.
The Perle Noire or Black Pearl is a striking Blanc de Noir made with Pinot Noir grapes sourced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards in Ambonnay. Following the traditional two-step fermentation process the Champagne is matured in the bottle on the lees for at least six years. This extended period of ageing helps to develop pronounced tertiary characteristics in the Champagne while retaining a remarkably vibrant freshness.
On the nose there are seductive notes of dried figs, pineapples and citrus fruit, while the first sip reveals a smooth mousse, bright acidity and rich tertiary flavours of brioche, buttercream and toasted nuts from the extended maturation. The finish is long and clean with a distinctive hint of salty minerality from the limestone soils. An ideal Champagne for celebrations or simply elevating a family dinner to a special occasion.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
