Located in Epernay, Pol Roger has been producing great Champagnes for over 170 years. The company, one of the few remaining family-run in the region, has 92 hectares of vineyards and the coldest and deepest cellars in Champagne, located 33 meters underground.

The Pol Roger vintage Champagne blend is made with 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, as per the house tradition. The grapes are selected and harvested by hand from 20 plots located in the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. After vinification and a period of rest in steel, the wines are bottled for the second fermentation. The bottles are stored in historic cellars buried 33 meters underground, where they remain on their lees for 8 years.

Produced in limited quantities, this champagne has a golden color, brilliant reflections, and a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it reveals great elegance with a broad aromatic profile characterized by notes of citrus and juicy fruit such as apricot, peach, and plum followed by hints of rose petals, honey, and brioche. On the palate, it is round and creamy, silky and lively. It has a full body and a soft texture. It is elegant and well-balanced. The finish is long and recalls notes of ripe yellow fruit. It is a perfect aperitif and pairs well with fish tartare or risotto with scallops.
