Talented winemaker Nathalie Fermet has been making her own wines since 1999 in the Aube region of Champagne. Over the years she’s earned a cult following for her delicious, artisanal bubbly and her commitment to sustainable and environmentally-friendly winemaking. All of her wines are crafted from organic and biodynamic grapes, while in the winery she prefers a minimal intervention approach to highlight the natural character of the fruit and the terroir.

This unusual cuvee is named Terra in reference to its unique production method. Nathalie uses clay amphorae to ferment the base wine which is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown on exceptional Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils. This process helps to preserve the vibrant personality of the Chardonnay as well as the minerally and elegant influence of the terroir. After the initial fermentation the Champagne is allowed to ferment and mature in the bottle.

The result is a well-balanced and complex Champagne, with layers of flavors and aromas that evolve over time and a distinctive verve and grace. Expect hints of fresh white flowers and zingy citrus mingling with riper notes of orchard fruit and a flinty note on the long finish.
