Champagne Gilbert Leseurre is a family-owned Champagne house located in the village of Bassuet, in the heart of the Marne Valley. This noble estate has been producing Champagne since 1868 and is known for its exceptional quality and attention to detail. Where possible, their Champagnes are made using time-honoured traditional methods with a focus on low-intervention winemaking and sustainable agriculture.

This is one of their classic house Champagnes which is made from selected grapes from the family’s 7 hectares of vines. The land is divided into 17 individual plots which are vinified separately, allowing winemaker Earl Gilbert Leseurre to compose each cuvee according to the vintage and terroir. He then adds a modest dosage to give a small amount of sweetness, helping to smooth out and balance the flavour profile of the final blend.

The result is a versatile Brut Champagne with a complex bouquet of apple, pear, and citrus notes and hints of brioche and almond. On the palate you can expect a fresh and lively character with a delicate acidity and a long and satisfying finish. Try pairing with fresh seafood like oysters, soft goats cheese, or even a leafy summer salad.
