Located in Chigny-les-Roses, in the Champagne wine region of France, Cattier is a Champagne house with a long family tradition spanning 13 generations.

Maison Cattier’s Brut Icone is a blend of Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and a smaller proportion of Chardonnay, incorporating approximately 30% reserve wines. The grapes are sourced from the estate’s own vineyards, spread across twenty different Crus. The predominance of red-skinned grapes lends the wine a character that is both powerful and elegant. Following the harvest and vinification, the wine rests on its lees for about two years before undergoing disgorgement, dosage, and release to the market.

In the glass, it displays a brilliant straw-yellow hue and an elegant perlage. The aromatic profile is generous and rich: notes of citrus and small red fruits, such as wild cherries, intertwine with hints of exotic fruits, including papaya, pineapple, and mango, further enriched by the sweeter nuances of dried apricot. On the palate, it is vibrant and lively, with a pleasant fruit-forward quality that evolves into citrus notes, complemented by touches of cherry and candied fruit. The acidity is well-balanced, leading to a long, refreshing finish. It makes for an elegant aperitif alongside seafood-based appetizers, or a perfect choice for brunch.
