Champagne AR Lenoble was founded in 1920 by Armand-Raphaël Graser who moved to Champagne from his Alsace homeland in 1915. Aware of the potential issues posed by his German-sounding surname, he named his new project AR Lenoble, combining his forename initials with his belief that the wines of Champagne were the finest in France.
Today the house is run by Armand-Raphaël’s great-grandchildren, Anne and Antoine, who inherited the estate from their father in 1993. Since then the siblings have worked hard to transform the house into one of Champagne’s most brilliant independent producers. Their noble Champagnes are all made with grapes grown on the estate which allows them to work with the very best raw ingredients and oversee every stage of the winemaking process.
Their spectacular Cuvee Intense is a delicate and harmonious coupage of Chardonnay from their Chouilly Grand Cru plots, Pinot Noir from Bisseuil Premier Cru vineyards and Pinot Meunier from the village Damery. The result is a very likeable Champagne which exudes rich tropical fruit, zesty citrus and hints of brioche on the nose. The first sip reveals a smooth mousse, creamy texture and light touches of roasted nuts and honey from the extended maturation process.
Pas de problème particulier.
