Located in the picturesque region of Montagne des Reims, André Chemin winery produces some of the very finest “Blanc des noirs” Champagne wines. It is a family-owned estate, founded in 1948 by André Chemin himself. Nowadays it is under the ownership of Eva and Sébastian, third-generation wine growers who have overseen the winery's transition into sustainable farming.

The winery is in Sacy village, where André Chemin was born and raised. This is the centre of one of Champagne’s Premier Crus, a terroir perfectly adapted for growing Pinot Noir. “Cuvée Célestynka“ is a homage to Sébastian Chemin’s Czech nationality, as well as his daughter, Céleste.

With a fruity bouquet of raspberries, wild strawberries and hazelnuts, the Pinot Noir is evident in this “Blanc des noirs” wine. It has been made without any added sugar, so this is a must-try for dry wine lovers - it is mouth-wateringly tart in the mouth. It brings a thrilling acidity with its flavours of apricot, apple, French pastries and honeysuckle. Everything is pulled together by a fresh minerality, driving into a pleasant finish. Try pairing it with oysters, a creamy chicken dish, or simply drink it as an aperitif.
