Celene winery is located in the small village of Haux in Bordeaux’s Entre-deux-Mers area, and has been making sensational Cremant de Bordeaux since 1947. Although Bordeaux is best known for its intense red wines, the venerable wine region also produces these delicious sparkling wines using the same method used to make Champagne in northern France.

Celene works with trusted partner growers to source fruit from both banks of Bordeaux and from a wide variety of terroirs. This gives them access to the very best fruit from each vintage. After vinification they age their wines in their 18th century cellar dug out of the limestone rock on the Right Bank of the Garonne. Here the constant humidity and 13°C temperature provide ideal conditions for maturing their wines.

Celene’s Cuvee Royale is primarily crafted from Cabernet along with a smaller amount of Semillon and Muscadelle. This combination of black and white grape varieties crafts a harmonious, perfectly-balanced sparkling wine with plenty of mouthwatering freshness and a well-built structure. Elegant red berry notes and hints of citrus and grapefruit dominate the flavour profile, along with a smooth mousse and a pure finish with a bright streak of acidity.
