Located in the Elgin valley, nestled among the ancient Hottentots Holland sandstone mountains, along the southern coast of the Cape, Catherine Marshall Wines is a small South African winery founded in the late 1990s and now renowned for its excellent, award-winning, cool-climate wines. Founder Catherine Marshall graduated with a degree in oenology from Stellenbosch and gained experience around the world before dedicating herself to her small production in the Elgin wine region.
The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are hand-picked from vineyards located in the cool Elgin Valley. After harvest, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, and the finished wine rests on the lees for six months before blending and adding a small percentage of barrel-aged Semillon.
The result is a fresh and expressive wine with a broad and lively aromatic profile revealing notes of lychee and lime sorbet, passion fruit, melon, and pink grapefruit. On the palate, it is juicy and vibrant, fruit-forward and crisp. It has a well-balanced tropical richness and a refreshing citrus acidity. The finish is fresh and zesty, with a touch of elegance. It pairs perfectly with sushi, seafood tacos, spaghetti with clams, and goat cheese salad.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
