Bringing Italian winemaking expertise to Napa’s exceptional terroir, Ca’ Momi is a modern wine label founded in 2006 by a trio of Italian winemakers, Dario De Conti, Valentina Guolo-Migotto and Stefano Migotto. After moving to California to work alongside their American winemaking cousins, the three fell in love with the Napa Valley and decided to found their very own winery.

The project is named after Momi dea Bionda, the former owner of the house which appears on their labels, who used to watch over his vineyards with a motorbike, his blind dog, and a rifle. Their wines invoke that same free and authentic spirit, with delicious fruit flavours and plenty of pure varietal character.

This punchy Cabernet opens with aromatic notes of rhubarb, dark cherries, licorice, cedar and leather. On the palate there’s a silky smooth texture, firm tannins and intense dark fruit flavours seasoned with hints of tobacco, baking spice and chocolate. This is a great value Napa Cab that’s perfect to enjoy with hearty dishes like barbecued ribs, a ribeye steak with fries, a hearty aubergine parmigiana or rich tomato-based pasta dishes like pappardelle with wild boar ragu.
