Located in Napa Valley, the Bread & Butter brand specialises in producing well-made California wines that encapsulate the Golden State’s relaxed attitude and sunny climate. Envisioned as simple pleasures to make every day a bit brighter, their delicious wines are made from classic California grape varieties like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon which thrive in the warm conditions.
They also produce this superb Pinot Noir which is made from top quality California fruit. Grapes are sourced from close to the Pacific Coast where the morning mists and fogs that roll in from the Pacific Ocean moderate the hot, sunny summer days. This helps to preserve freshness and aromatics in the finished wine. Before bottling the young wine is aged in French and American oak barrels to add polish and subtle hints of toast and woodsmoke.
This fruit-forward Pinot is bursting with juicy dark berry notes including cassis, raspberry and dark cherries. On the palate there’s a medium body, refreshing acidity and rich dark fruit flavours which mingle with bay leaf, cedar and spice on the long finish. The easy-going flavour profile makes this a great wine to pair with dishes like barbecued meats, roasted lamb, charcuterie or even salmon.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
