Founded by Michel Bouchard in Beaune in 1731, Bouchard Père & Fils is a historic Burgundian wine estate. The company began its operations as a wine merchant and acquired its first estate-owned vineyard in 1775. Today, Bouchard Père & Fils is part of the Artémis Domaines group and is led by Frédéric Weber.

Their Nuits-Saint-Georges is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, carefully selected from partner winegrowers located throughout the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, in the southern part of the Côte de Nuits, where the soils are clay-limestone and stony. Following a manual harvest and traditional vinification, the wine is aged in French oak barrels (25–30% new) for approximately one year.

In the glass, the wine reveals an intense ruby ​​color with purple highlights. Its aromatic profile is rich and layered, featuring notes of black cherry, redcurrant, and dark fruits, interwoven with spicy hints of licorice and vanilla, along with touches of tobacco. On the palate, it is rich, concentrated, velvety, and smooth, with polished tannins and a juicy, flavorful character. The finish is long and harmonious, echoing notes of dark fruit. Pair it with game birds, hare stew, or aged cheeses.
