Founded in 2005 by Rodrigo Mendez and oenologist Raul Perez, Forjas del Salnes is widely considered one of the most exciting and innovative realities in Galicia. From the beginning, Forjas, which grows organically, has worked with the main objective of recovering ancient Galician varieties that had been abandoned and lost over the centuries and producing Albarino from old vines. Their wines are clear proof of their philosophy and reflection of the terroir: full of freshness, with perfect minerality, ample sensations, and a surprising aging potential.

Goliardo A Telleira is produced from Albarino grapes from 45-year-old vines located close to the coast. Alcoholic fermentation and aging take place in large used barrels of 750 liters. After 12 months in wood, the wine is bottled and immersed in special cages 30 meters deep in the sea, where it is left to age for another 3 months.

The wine has a powerful and expressive nose of ripe stone fruit, delicate spices, floral and mineral notes. In the mouth, it shows all its complexity and aging potential. It is creamy and structured, deep and mineral, with a strong saline character and remarkable acidity. This is a wine that can improve with a few years in the cellar.

Serve at 9º to 12ºC. Enjoy it with Iberian cured meats or oily fishes.
