The Argentinian Alpasion winery is a small property that extends over 85 hectares of vineyards in Los Chacayes, where international varieties are grown, such as Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, and, obviously, the most representative grape variety of Mendoza, Malbec. The company name comes from the union of the Argentine words soul (alma) and passion (pasion) and represents the commitment and friendship that binds the founding owners.

The Malbec grapes come from vineyards located in Los Chacayes at 1,200 meters above sea level, on alluvial, sandy, stony soil. The harvest is manual and after all the winemaking procedures, which include maceration and malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels.

Gran Malbec is one of the company's most representative wines and a pure expression of the Malbec grape. It reveals a typical aromatic profile with notes of ripe red and black fruit and hints of vanilla and cocoa. It is a full-bodied and bold wine, soft and full-flavored. Its tannins are smooth and well-balanced by a fresh, lively acidic vein. The finish recalls notes of chocolate. It is the perfect wine for barbecues, but it also goes well with roasts.
