Why is Greek wine so expensive?

The relatively limited wine production, using home-grown grape varieties and following the strict winemaking practices give Greek wine a premium factor. In addition, the widening interest internationally for Greek wine is a perfect complement to wine’s premium. Besides that, many qualities like vineyard management with the acquisition of terroir character, labor-intensive, and low-yielding harvests are one of the leading factors in the higher cost, leading to the higher price cost of bottles.
