Vaziani Winery is based in the city of Telavi, in the centre of Georgia’s premier wine-making region of Kakheti. Founded in 1982, the winery’s overriding goals are to produce quality wine, and export Georgian wine culture to a wider, international market - they have achieved both with aplomb. Over the years, Vaziani has racked up countless awards, from platinum medals from Decanter to gold medals in the International Wine Challenge.

Vaziani Winery owns a plot of land in almost every recognisable Georgian appellation, including the famous Kindzmarauli. This semi-sweet red wine was extremely sought after during the Soviet Union - and its excellence has only increased since those times, as wine-makers find new ways to extract the pure, sweet essence of the Saperavi grape.

This Kindzmarauli bursts with notes of cherry jam, raspberry, rose petal and an assortment of wild berries. It’s an appealing dark red in the glass and is an easy-drinking, delightfully smooth wine. The palate is a round, velvety experience balancing dense notes of sweet red berries with a succulent acidity. It exhibits a lingering finish, replete with soft tannins and fruit. This can be enjoyed alone, or employed as a dessert wine, alongside soft, creamy cheeses, cakes or a selection of fruits. It is also delicious when served well-chilled.
