Te Whare Ra is a small organic wine estate located in the Renwick sub-region of Marlborough on the South Island of New Zealand. Since 2003, the company, which extends over about 11 hectares of vineyards, has been owned by Anna and Jason Flowerday, who produce excellent wines with low yields, organic or biodynamic practices in the vineyard and minimal intervention in the cellar. The estate is home to some of Marlborough's oldest vines.
The grapes are selected and harvested by hand from the youngest vines and a part of the oldest vines of the estate vineyard. Fermentation takes place in special tanks, slowly and at low temperatures to maintain the freshness and typical aromas of this grape. As it has not been filtered, the wine is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Inspired by German Rieslings from the Moselle Valley, Riesling M from Te Whare Ra winery is a lively and invigorating wine with an aromatic profile with a citrus character and hints of white fruit. On the palate, it is refreshing with a marked acidity and intense fruity notes of lime and grapefruit. It is a very balanced wine, with mineral notes and a long and refreshing finish. It is excellent as an aperitif and is perfect with oysters or seafood and with spicy oriental fish dishes.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
