Founded in 1998 in Castelnuovo Berardenga, by Pierluigi Tolaini, the Tolaini winery produces world-acclaimed Tuscan wines in the south of the Chianti Classico wine region. The company's vineyards extend for approximately 50 hectares and enjoy extremely favorable soil and climate conditions for the cultivation of vines and the production of excellent quality wines.

The Legit Tolaini pays homage to Thelonius Monk, one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes come from vineyards planted in 2002 on limestone and clay soils. After the harvest, the grapes spend a period of 30 days on the skins. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in oak barrels and the finished wine remains in barriques for 24 months and then for another 3 years in the bottle.

The wine reveals a color with ruby red tones, with reflections tending towards the garnet. Its aromatic profile is broad and ripe with notes of red fruit and sweet spices, toasted and licorice hints. On the palate, it is soft and concentrated. It has a good body with ripe tannins and well-balanced acidity. It is elegant and warm with a finish that recalls balsamic and vanilla notes. Try it with a hearty beef bourguignon.
