This stunning Cotes du Rhone white opens with enticing notes of ripe stone fruit and hints of honey, toasted almonds and lemon zest. The first sip reveals a full body, smooth creamy texture and intense apricot, pear and tropical fruit flavours which linger long on the tongue. The powerful character makes this a great match for rich dishes such as a decadent gratin, chicken cooked with cream or hard cheeses.

This opulent white is crafted from fruit from both the northern and southern Rhone, including top quality grapes from the world-famous Hermitage cru. The blend is composed of Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache, Viognier and Clairette which are fermented in the barrel to add extra complexity and body to the finished wine. The young wine is then aged in oak barrels for a further 8 months before it is deemed ready for bottling.

Domaine Tardieu-Laurent was founded in 1994 as a collaboration between Dominique Laurent who has built a reputation for fantastic quality Burgundy and young up-and-coming winemaker Michel Tardieu. The business works as a negociant, buying in the very finest young wines from across the Rhone which they blend and release in very limited quantities.
