Recently listed among the 100 best wineries in Spain by Wine and Spirits magazine, Pago de los Capellanes was founded by the Rodero Villa family in Pedrosa de Duero in the late 1990s. The company owns vineyards in one of the most prestigious areas of the Ribera del Duero and produces fantastic wines from low-productivity vineyards that benefit from soil and climatic conditions particularly favorable to the production of quality wine.

The Godello grapes are selected and harvested manually from old vineyards located in Corguiño, on slopes 450 meters above sea level characterized by deep soils of granite rock. After the harvest and a short maceration, fermentation takes place in stainless steel to preserve the aromatic character. The finished wine rests on the lees (sobre lias in Spanish) for approximately 6 months.

Godello Sobre Lias is a lively and fresh wine with a greenish-yellow color. Its aromatic profile reveals notes of white fruit and stone fruit, floral and balsamic hints. On the palate, it has a good weight. It is balanced and elegant, with good acidity. It is full of character and shows a good depth of flavors. The finish is long and persistent. Excellent with seafood or fried fish.
