One of the top producers in South Africa’s Swartland region, Mullineux was founded by winemakers Chris and Andrea Mullineux in 2007. Since then the pair have won numerous awards and accolades for their work, including thirty 5-star ratings from Platter’s South African Wine Guide and Wine Enthusiast’s 2016 International Winemaker of the Year for Andrea.
The winery has their own vineyards at Roundstone Farm in Riebeeksrivier as well as working closely with partner growers who follow their sustainable farming practices. Once in the winery the only additive used is a minimal amount of sulphur to express the full beauty of the local terroir.
Mullineux are especially known for their Chenin Blanc, including this bottling crafted from top quality fruit from several parts of the Swartland. This wine is part-fermented in tanks and in barrels, adding extra complexity and polish to the final cuvee. Rich stone fruit and bright citrus dominate on the nose, with hints of vanilla spice, toast and woodsmoke coming through on the palate. The harmonious balance between freshness and rich fruit makes this a great wine to enjoy with food like roast chicken, pan-fried salmon, mature hard cheeses, and leafy summer salads.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
