Amy’s was created by legendary Margaret River winery Moss Wood as a delicious and easy-drinking version of their powerful and long-lived wines which doesn’t need to be kept in the cellar for years. This impressive cuvee is a Bordeaux-style blend composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon along with a dash of Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot with all the grapes harvested at optimal ripeness.

Once in the winery the grapes are carefully sorted by hand and then each variety is fermented separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in used oak barrels for 18 months to add a gentle touch of toasty oak without overwhelming the character of the grape variety. The Mugfords then make the final blend and bottle without using any fining agents to showcase the natural beauty of this stunning wine.

Founded in 1969, Moss Wood is considered one of Margaret River’s earliest pioneer wineries set in the northern Wilyabrup sub-region. For the last four decades it has been in the capable hands of Clare & Keith Mugford who have developed and maintained a reputation for crafting powerful yet elegant wines which age extremely well in the cellar.
