Mordoree La Remise Rose 2018

This vibrant rosé is crafted from Grenache, Marselan and Merlot grapes which are organically grown on the Mordoree estate. Made in an easy-drinking, elegant style, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the racy acidity and delicate aromatics. Luscious hints of strawberries, red cherries and raspberries dominate the flavour profile with a subtle touch of sweetness on the midpalate. This is a great wine to serve as a refreshing aperitif or alongside dishes like leafy salads, goats cheese, roast chicken or salmon.

Founded in 1986 by Francis and Christophe Delorme, the Mordoree winery takes its name from the woodcock bird which was once common across the southern Rhone Valley but is now sadly an endangered species. Today the estate is run by Christophe’s wife and daughter as well as other family members.

The Delorme family are passionate about respecting the natural world and seek to produce their wines in harmony with Mother Nature wherever possible. In the vineyard they farm organically and biodynamically to preserve the estate in top condition. As well as focusing on producing the best quality wines possible from their land, the Delormes take a long-term view and plan to maintain the estate in optimum condition for future generations of the family.
