After working for many years in the world of finance, in 2003 David and Cynthia Enns decided to follow their true passion and found their very own winery on the Naramata Bench in the Okanagan Valley. David started out making top quality small batch wines in 2001 and over the past couple of decades the Enns have gained a reputation for crafting delicious and award-winning wines that capture the unique terroir of the Okanagan Valley region.

The Okanagan Valley is especially well-suited to Pinot Gris thanks to the arid and warm climate which helps the variety to ripen fully while retaining plenty of aromatics and freshness. The Enns source their grapes for this wine from the Okanagan Falls. Interestingly, part of the must is fermented in concrete eggs which helps to give a silky smooth texture and real purity of flavour. The remainder of the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks and neutral French oak barrels.

This winemaking technique helps to showcase the delicate aromas of citrus, green apple and nectarine as well as giving the wine a creamy texture and clean finish with plenty of mouthwatering freshness. The subtle floral notes and minerality make this a great match for oysters and other fresh seafood as well as spicy Asian dishes, sushi and summery salads.
