The Slovenian wine cooperative Klet Brda was founded in 1957 in the Goriška Brda region. Today the company brings together around 400 grower families and has its headquarters and cellars in the Dobrovo castle. The vineyards extend over approximately 1000 hectares where the main variety is Ribolla. Other grape varieties include Chardonnay, Sauvignonasse, and the red Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Ribolla grapes come from terraced vineyards located at an altitude between 100 and 350 meters in the Brda wine region on light soils of marl and sandstone. The harvest is manual, and, after 12 hours of maceration, the grapes are fermented in barrels. The finished wine then matures for 12 months in French oak.

Klet Brda Bagueri Rebula has an intense color with golden yellow tones. On the nose, the wine reveals a fresh and lively aromatic profile with notes of citrus and some hints of vanilla and bread crust. On the palate, the wine is expressive, full and harmonious, soft, and with a well-balanced acidic streak. The finish is long and pleasantly persistent. Try it with seafood, risotto with scallops, or tagliatelle with vegetables.
