The Giusti family have been making wine in and around Treviso in Italy’s Veneto region since the 1600s. Yet it was only in 2004 that Ermenegildo Giusti founded their modern winery with the purchase of two hectares of prized vines in the Dal Col vineyard which was planted back in 1945. These days Giusti has some 100 hectares of land which includes 14% of the total land designated for Prosecco under Italy’s appellation system.

The family’s time-honoured expertise in sparkling winemaking is evident in this attractive rosé Prosecco. Glera grapes are sourced from their Rosalia estate and blended with Pinot Nero from the Case Bianche estate. Conditions here are ideal for sparkling winemaking thanks to the clay-rich alluvial soils and mild climate, with the fruit carefully harvested by hand to maximise the quality of the finished wine.

The fruit is then vinified according to the traditional process for Prosecco with the secondary fermentation taking place in tanks and the young wine left to mature on the lees for 3 months. This helps to capture the natural freshness of the grapes and showcase the typical green apple and citrus notes of the Glera and the ripe red berry fruit of the Pinot Nero.
