Located in Saint Aubin, Domaine Larue is a third-generation family property, run today by brothers Denis and Didier, with their respective children Bruno and Vivien. The estate covers approximately 17 hectares of vineyards. The Oratory Saint-Charles, located in the Puligny Montrachet area and dating back to 1740, is depicted on the label.
The Chardonnay grapes come from Lieu Dit Le Trezin in the Puligny Montrachet appellation. The vines spread across five plots, and located at the top of the hill, above the Premier Crus of Champ Gain and La Garenne have an average age of about 60 years and benefit from a calcareous soil scattered on the surface with small white stones. After fermentation in barrels and a rest period on the lees for 12 months, the wine remains in the tank for 6 months before blending and bottling.
Puligny-Montrachet Le Trezin is a wine of great elegance with a broad and fragrant aromatic profile and notes of lemon, pear and white flowers, aromatic herbs and mineral and spicy hints. On the palate it is round and enveloping, soft and balanced. It has a strong acidic vein and a long mineral finish. It is ready to drink now paired with a white lasagna with asparagus, or with seafood salads.
