This delicate rosé wine delights the eye with a seductive pale pink hue and attractive aromas of ripe strawberries, red cherries, and almond blossom. The first sip reveals a bright freshness, warm red berry flavours, and a light body which makes this wine ideal for sipping as an aperitif on a sultry summer evening. It is also a superb gastronomic wine, combining beautifully with everything from grilled salmon steaks and fresh seafood to creamy cheeses and summer salads.

Crafted from Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc, this is an easy-going and elegant rosé made from grapes that have been harvested early to maintain their natural freshness and delicate aromatics. The vines are planted at around 700 metres above sea level where the sunny Mediterranean climate is moderated by cooling breezes from the mountains.

Despite its French-sounding name, Domaine du Castel is situated in the picturesque Judean Hills and is widely regarded as one of Israel’s finest producers. The tiny winery only produces a few thousand bottles a year and is run by Eli Ben Zaken who planted the first modern vineyard in the Judean Hills here in 1988. Eli models his winemaking philosophy on the vignerons of Bordeaux and insists on prioritising quality above all else.
