Domaine des Clos is an outlet of the Bichot family, founded by Grégoire Bichot in 1995. This stalwart estate spans 6 hectares of vineyards in the world-famous appellations of Chablis, Beaune and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Domaine des Clos approach wine-making with a deep respect for the land, allowing the grape to truly express itself in the wine.

This white wine is a handsome example of a Chablis, sourced from one of the appellations Premier Crus: “Les Vaillons”. The vines here grow on mineral-rich soils, largely composed of limestone and the fossils of former sea-dwelling creatures.

Crafted from 100% Chardonnay, this Chablis has a remarkably delicate nose. You can discover refined notes of crushed seashells, citrus peel and green apple, along with some subtle hints of butter. The grapes were carefully harvested by hand, to obtain the best fruits possible. On the palate, this wine transforms into a fresh and vibrant experience, perfectly balanced and alive with acidity. Notes of green apple skin, lemon and lime mingle with underlying minerality and hints of almond nut and honey. As with most premium Chablis’, this is a beautiful pairing for seafood. Consider having it alongside scallops, delicate poached fish, or asparagus in a creamy sauce.
