Debrusco Cives was founded in 2005, in the spiritual heart of Franciacorta: Ebrusco. It is a prime location for creating sparkling wines, with ancient, undulating hills and mineral-rich soil. Debrusco Cives means “citizens of Erbusco”, referring to the winery’s five founders, who have set out with the definitive goal of creating the best Franciacorta in the world.

Those at the winery have their own approach to the Franciacorta method. No external sugars are added - the wine-makers prefer to rely on their skills and the residual sugars of the grape, to define the wine's sweetness. Their wines are also left to age on the lees for an extended period. In the case of Le Millesime, it is 60 months, which results in a truly unique and delicious Franciacorta experience.

Derbusco Cives Le Millesime explodes with sweet notes of tropical fruit, hazelnut, citrus and toasty wood. It’s made from 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Nero, giving the wine a light golden colour. It is noticeably dry on the palate, replete with flavours of peach, citrus, yeast and buttery brioche. It expands on the lengthy finish, doubling down on the scents of tropical fruit. It’s a perfect accompaniment for equally elegant seafood dishes or creamy fish sauces.
