Celebrating sparkling wine production in Italy, is Franciacorta, sparkling wine from the Province of Brescia. Known for having complex structure and layered flavor profiles, Franciacorta is an exciting sparkling style. One of the champions of Franciacorta is Corte Aura, a winery founded in 2009 by Federico Fossati.

Originally from Veneto, Fossati realized his dreams to produce high-quality wine in the Lombardy region. Today, the winery produces over 100,000 bottles with grapes coming from vineyards located in several Franciacorta municipalities. To illustrate the time put toward the winemaking and aging process of the wines at Corte Aura is the symbol of the turtle. The winery relies on extended aging on the lees beyond the minimum requirements resulting in expressive, layered cuvées.

The Millesimato Saten is a lush, opulent sparkling wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. The nose delivers fruit notes of green apple, underripe pineapple, and citrus enveloped with toasted brioche, nuts, and a dusty layer of minerality. The palate is greeted by a mousse-like mouthfeel and high-acid tones of tropical fruit blended with limestone, honey and sugared almonds. The bubbles are soft and lingering, giving the wine an overall stunning complexity. This wine can be enjoyed as an aperitif or with a variety of foods including fish, shellfish, hard cheeses, and vegetarian plates.
