The Teatro La Scala Brut is a beautiful golden colour in the glass, with white fruit scents of peach and nectarine, toasted almonds, honeysuckle, citrus and vanilla. It captures fine, bright bubbles, and was aged for 36 months on the lees before release, making it old beyond its years.

Bellavista is one of the most important wineries in Franciacorta, founded in 1977 by Vittorio Moretti. It spans 109 hectares between the Po Valley and Lake Iseo, encompassing 10 of Franciacorta’s finest plots of grape-growing land. Every year, Teatro La Scala is released alongside the “Prima Opera” of Italian theatre, celebrating the link between the worlds of wine and music. Much like the opera, Bellavista’s wines are all about the experience and the journey, rather than the endpoint.

This sparkling wine begins with an elegant palate of orchard fruits, lemon zest, yeast and nuts. It is a careful blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, 72% and 28% respectively. Teatro La Scala treads the ground between softness and tart acidity, leading to a pleasantly dry finish. It’s a brilliant wine for special occasions, and for pairing with seafood and vegetable tempura, soft cheese, or white fish.
