The noble and ancient history of the Commanderie de Peyrassol dates back to the Knights Templar who founded the estate in the 13th century as a staging post where pilgrims would rest en route to the Holy Land. Since the first vines were planted here 800 years ago, Peyrassol has risen to become one of Provence’s finest wineries with 93 hectares currently under vine.

This classic Provencal rosé is made in the typical local style with a stunning pale pink hue and delicate aromatics. Composed of Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache, Ugni Blanc and Rolle, the grapes destined for this wine are sourced from the estate’s oldest vines which produce low yields of incredibly flavoursome fruit. The grapes are harvested at night and vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and varietal character as much as possible.

The result is a lively and graceful rosé which is bursting with ripe strawberry, citrus, apricot and raspberry notes. The first sip reveals a mouthwatering freshness, light body and smooth, well-rounded texture with a clean, citrusy finish. Ideal for drinking by the pool or in the garden on a sunny afternoon, this rosé is also an excellent gastronomic wine and can be paired with pan-fried salmon, roast chicken, creamy cheeses, and all manner of summer salads.
