Located close to the legendary Chateau d’Yqyem, the original chateau building dates back to 1580 and is surrounded by some 90 acres of vineyards which have an average age of 30 years.
Suduiraut takes a traditional approach to winemaking, vinifying and ageing their wines in French oak barrels for 18 to 24 months depending on the particular characteristics of the vintage. This adds extra complexity and polish to the finished wine, with delicate notes of exotic spice, toasted nuts, and woodsmoke mingling on the palate with succulent tropical fruit, honey, and floral notes from the fruit.
