The history of the legendary Chateau Purcari dates back to 1827 when Tsar Nicholas I approved a decree making it the first winery in Moldavia (then known as Bessarabia). After years of decline, during which Moldova became an exporter of table wine destined for the Soviet Union, the Chateau regained its prestige at the beginning of the 20th century after replanting 250 hectares of vineyards and installing top-notch technology in the cellar. Today Chateau Purcari produces high-quality wines often awarded in the major international wine competitions.

This Limited Edition rosé is produced with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec from vines grown with great respect for the environment with cultivation techniques that respect biodiversity to ensure soil fertility in the vineyards.

Native Rosé de Purcari is a captivating wine with brilliant color. The aromatic profile is fresh and complex with intense aromas of rose and violet, notes of stone fruit and ripe citrus fruits, and some spicy hints. On the palate, it is a round and generous wine. The acidity is lively and supported by a good concentration of fruit. The finish is long and soft. It is the ideal wine to serve chilled with rich vegetarian dishes, fish and tomato-based dishes, and savory cheeses.
