Chateau de Meursault is one of Burgundy’s enduring wine estates, with a history dating back to the 11th century. It has passed through countless noblemen over the centuries, but since 2012, it has been under the ownership of Olivier Halley, the figurehead of the famous French wine family.

The chateau is located in the appellation of Meursault but sources its fruits from across the Côte de Beaune region. In all, the estate owns premium parcels of land in 5 Grand Cru vineyards and 18 Premier Crus. Under the guidance of wine expert Stephane Follin-Arbelet, those at Chateau de Meursault have toiled long and hard to express the magnificent terroir of Clos des Perrières in a bottle. This is the stunning result.

From the beginning, this Premier Cru bursts with toasted scents, ripe gooseberry, white chocolate and pannacotta. The fruits were grown on rich limestone soil, bringing freshness and minerality that distinguishes it from other vineyards in the area. The palate is firm and tangy, with notes of lemon peel, pear and sea salt, and its high acidity and minerality drive a long finish. It is a perfect choice for those who enjoy sharp, unoaked whites. Pair it with asparagus, chicken and leek pie, or seafaring fish such as haddock and cod.
