Founded in 1964, Champagne Jacquart is a young Champagne house with an exhilarating style. Under the watchful eyes of cellar master Floriane Ezniak, the estate has grown into the largest grower-producer in the region - all of the grapes used for Jacquart wines are grown by the owners.
This enormous estate comprises 2,400 hectares of vineyards, dotted across 60 villages in the region of Champagne. It is a patchwork quilt, or rather a “mosaique” of different terroirs, that helps to shape this winery’s wholly distinctive style. The Mosaique line was first launched in 1986 and has garnered multiple awards over the years, including gold medals at Mundus Vini and Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
This bottle is a blend of all three Champagne grapes: 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, and 25% Pinot Meunier. The nose is crisp and elegant, with aromas of white peach, pear and nectarine, underpinned by hints of acacia and rose petals. Upon sipping, a creamy texture envelopes the palate, bringing the succulent flavour of white-fleshed fruits, dried apricot and lemon rind. The finish is long and thirst-quenching, making this an excellent aperitif for any occasion. This Champagne is also an excellent match for delicate deep-fried foods, such as vegetable tempura or crispy battered chicken.
