Champagne Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs

Ideal as an elegant aperitif enjoyed amongst friends, this refined Champagne is bursting with aromas of star anise, flower honey, ripe apricots and jasmine. On the palate there is a clearly defined minerality typical of the chalky Champagne terroir as well as hints of toast, quince jelly and lemon zest.

Since Gosset chooses not to use malolactic fermentation for this Blanc de Blancs, this Champagne boasts a refreshing acidity which makes it incredibly food-friendly. The long list of possible pairings for this versatile Champagne includes oysters, crab, risotto served with parmesan shavings, creamy chicken dishes, a fruity young comté cheese or even fried fish and chips!

This 100% Chardonnay has been carefully crafted by Gosset’s famed cellar master Jean-Pierre Mareigner using grapes carefully selected from 15 Champagne villages in the Côtes des Blancs and the Côtes des Noirs. To ensure consistency and quality, Mareigner blended three different vintages to create a balanced house style. The resulting assemblage was then aged deep underground in Gosset’s traditional Champagne cellars in Epernay for a minimum of five years. The result is a lively, well-structured Blanc de Blancs that is ideal to drink now or to keep up until 2022.
