Bordeaux might be more famous for its red wines, but the region also has a tradition of producing excellent sparkling wines known as “Cremant de Bordeaux”. These are made using the traditional method, the same process used in Champagne, which involves a lengthy secondary fermentation in the bottle to create tiny, delicate bubbles and a complex flavour profile.

Celene has been making these sparkling wines since 1947 and works closely with trusted partner growers on both banks of Bordeaux to source top quality grapes. This textbook rosé Cremant from Celene is crafted from Cabernet Franc and Merlot fruit. After vinification this cuvee is aged on the lees in the bottle for 12 months in Celene’s historic 18th century cellar which was dug straight out of the limestone rock on the Garonne’s Right Bank.

Elegant and refined in style, this Cremant boasts a well-defined structure and succulent fruit notes of wild berries, plums, pomegranates, and redcurrants. The finish is pure and clean, with plenty of mouthwatering freshness which makes it perfect to pair with smoked salmon, hard cheeses like Pecorino, or a generous platter of charcuterie.
