Cascina Luisin has a long winemaking tradition, linked to the history of the Minuto family, who have been producing wine since the late 1800s and began bottling it in 1913. The estate was later divided among the heirs, and today the original winery is led by Roberto Minuto, the eighth generation of the family, who continues to produce highly elegant Piedmontese wines.

The Nebbiolo grapes come from two plots located 300 meters above sea level in the municipality of Alba, specifically in the San Rocco Seno d'Elvio area. Here, the vines, which are over sixty years old, enjoy a southern exposure and sandy, calcareous marl-clay soils capable of producing mineral and fragrant wines. After harvesting and fermenting in concrete tanks, the finished wine rests in large Slavonian oak barrels for a year before bottling and a further year of bottle aging.

In the glass, the wine reveals a bright, deep ruby ​​color and an intense, complex aromatic profile that opens with red berries and continues with notes of rose petals and violets, followed by balsamic hints. On the palate, it has a medium body and fine tannins. It is soft, warm, and very elegant with a pleasant, refreshing acidity and a long, persistent finish that once again evokes balsamic notes. Try it with porcini mushroom risotto or truffle mac & cheese.
