The Capcanes co-operative has been making wine since 1933 when it was initially founded by five local families. The original members recognised that by working together they had the opportunity to improve the efficiency of their winemaking and boost their sales. Over the years they have enjoyed immense success and growth, and today they have around 70 local families who are members.

The Mas Collect Seleccio is a rich, spicy red blend composed of varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, and Garnacha which are harvested by hand and vinified separately. Following fermentation the young wine is aged in American and French oak barrels for 9 months. It is then bottled and aged for an additional year before being released to the market.

The result is a deliciously ripe and generous red blend with a well-defined structure and blackberry character from the Cabernet Sauvignon and spicy red fruit notes and softness from the Garnacha. On the nose there are hints of black cherry, sweet spice, and savoury notes while the first sip reveals a rich fruit character and a long finish. The bold flavour profile makes this an excellent match for red meats, charcuterie and rich tomato-based pasta dishes.
