Founded in 1968, Bortolin Angelo winery is now run by Angelo’s son Desiderio, and daughters Paola and Cristina. They are a family dedicated to producing top-class sparkling wine.
Out of the entirety of Treviso, Valdobbiadene is considered to be the prime Prosecco-producing area. Its location in the Alpine foothills is perfect for growing Glera, as it creates a relatively cool climate. The environment is also challenging for growers. The Alps' precipitous slopes make it difficult for machines, meaning that vines can only be pruned and harvested by hand.
The Superiore di Cartizze exhibits a harmonious bouquet of stone fruits, with a discreet minerality and hints of jasmine.
