The Auvigue brothers are the third generation of this family business whose vineyards are located on the calcareous soils around the Roche de Solutré. A total of 14 different wines are bottled by the Auvigue family and marketed in-house. Today the story continues with the arrival at the end of 2015 of Sylvain Brenas, grandson of Jean-Pierre and Michel, who is committed to preserving the style and spirit of the house.

The 100% Chardonnay grapes come from the village of Solutré-Pouilly on clayey limestone soil of the Cretaceous period. The harvest is manual and the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place in barrels. The wines are then aged on fine lees in barrels until final assembly, one month before bottling.

The Pouilly-Fuisse Hors Classe is produced only in the very best years and in limited quantities. In the glass, it displays a golden color enlivened by straw-yellow reflections. On the nose, it releases enchanting aromas by combining finesse and elegance with gentle notes of white flowers and peony. On the palate, it is broad and deep, with a salty freshness that lightens everything and pleasant fruit ripeness. Enjoy it on its own or serve it with fish or white meat with white sauce dressing.
