Arillo in Terrabianca is the Tuscan project of Adriana and Urs Burkard, an Italian-Swiss family with a deep passion for wine. The winery, founded in 2019, brings together the three estates of Terrabianca, Il Tesoro, and Colle Brezza, located in the Radda area, the Maremma, and the Val d'Orcia, respectively.

Il Campaccio is a Super Tuscan-style wine produced from a blend of mostly Sangiovese, with additions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes are sourced from the Il Tesoro estate vineyards, located at an altitude of 140-160 meters above sea level in the Valpiana area of ​​Massa Marittima. After harvesting and fermenting in stainless steel, the wine is aged in used French oak for a year and then left to mature in the bottle for six months.

In the glass, the wine reveals an intense, brilliant ruby ​​color and a broad, fragrant aromatic profile with notes of plum and cherry, intertwined with spicy hints, pepper and licorice touches. On the palate, it is full and balanced, rich and robust with firm, well-integrated tannins. It is juicy and elegant with a long, spicy finish. It's a wine capable of aging for a long time but can already be enjoyed with braised beef, pulled pork, or game dishes.
