Alpasion Grand Petit Verdot 2020

Located in the Mendoza wine region and, more precisely, in the Chacayes area, the Alpasion boutique winery covers approximately 85 hectares of vineyards. The company was founded by a group of friends with a common passion for wine and a shared project of producing iconic wines with excellent value for money. Their labels bear the fingerprints and signatures of all the company owners as an expression of the passion put into this project. Part of the vineyard is also planted in the shape of a fingerprint.

The wine is produced with 100% Petit Verdot grapes, hand-picked from approximately 6-year-old vines located in the Chacayes region at 1,200 meters above sea level. The fermentation takes place in cement with indigenous yeasts for a duration of 10 days. After a period of maceration, the wine is then left to age for 12 months in new Bordeaux oak.

The Grand Petit Verdot from the Alpasion winery is an intense and elegant wine with a dense and deep red color. Its aromatic profile reveals notes of berries, cedar, and vanilla. On the palate, it has a medium to full body and a great balance. The tannins are soft and the long finish recalls toasted notes. The perfect match for this wine is roast lamb, but it also goes well with duck.
