Located in Chablis, in Yonne, the Domaine Long-Depaquit is owned by the Bichot family, whose history dates back to 1214. The family business, created in 1831, first as a wine trading company, experienced a dazzling expansion during the 19th century, becoming in particular the official supplier of the Swedish court. The Maison Albert Bichot still remains a family-run business, with approximately 100 hectares of vineyards spread over 6 estates.
The Chablis Grand Cru Moutonne Monopole by Domaine Long-Depaquit is a white wine produced with Chardonnay grapes obtained from 2.35 hectares of vineyards, cultivated on Kimméridgien marl and clayey-limestone subsoil in the Chablis Grand Cru appellation. The wine is aged in casks and barrels for 10 months before blending and then matures for six months in steel vats on the lees.
This splendid Chablis has a golden color with bright green reflections. On the nose, the wine reveals intense aromas of stone fruit (especially peaches), citrus fruits, and floral notes of jasmine and violet. On the palate, the wine is round and generous, with light woody notes and great minerality, deriving from the terroir of origin. The finish is fresh and long. This elegant Chablis works perfectly with seafood or white fish served with creamy sauces.
