Zuccardi is a family-run Argentine winery. The Zuccardi family, of Italian origins, moved to the Mendoza area in the first half of the 20th century, and planted their first 16-hectare vineyard in the 1960s in the Maipú area, thus starting their winemaking business. Today, the company, managed by José Alberto Zuccardi and his three sons, extends over approximately 1,600 hectares, of which 430 are vineyards.

The wines of the Poligonos series by Zuccardi are mountain wines. The Malbec grapes come from vineyards located between 1,200 and 1,500 meters above sea level on soils rich in limestone, formed by layers of sand, caliche and stones. After the harvest, fermentation takes place in concrete tanks with indigenous yeasts.

The wine has a dense ruby ​​color with some purple nuances. On the nose it reveals an intense aromatic profile with fruity notes of blueberry and plum, dark cherry and blueberry, followed by hints of herbs and spices and earthy hints. On the palate it is powerful, round and fruity but in a very balanced way. The tannins are well integrated and the finish is long and fragrant. Try it with a beef casserole.
