Perlato del Bosco is a 100% Vermentino wine, from the Alta Maremma region of Tuscany, near the village of Suvereto. In the glass, it is a straw yellow colour, bursting with floral notes of lime leaf and hawthorn, along with hints of green apple, citrus and wafts of herbaceousness.

It was made by Tua Rita, a family-owned and operated winery in the southeast of Tuscany. The winery sources its grapes from a 60-hectare strip of vineyards, nestled between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the mineral-rich hills known as “Colline Metallifere”, the backbone of this famous wine region. Perlato del Bosco is a fantastic IGT wine, a pure expression of this native Italian grape, made for lovers of white wine.

In the mouth, this wine shows a well-structured acidity and a fruity yet savoury character. The Tyrrhenian Sea’s influence shines through, imparting salinity to every sip, between notes of pear, lime and peach. The medley of flavour is driven along by a juicy acidity, imparting an undeniable freshness to the experience. The finish is pleasantly bitter with hints of citrus rind. This wine will be at its best when served slightly chilled, alongside a plate of seafood, vegetable pasta dishes, or salad.
